Susan is a former Physical Education and Health teacher with over 25 years of experience (Ontario, Canada). She has written six books and produced numerous videos/DVDs on rope skipping and other instructional materials, including those used by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada’s Jump Rope for Heart Program. She was the founding coach of the Hamilton Hoppers – an internationally renowned high performance rope skipping team that has won numerous awards. Susan has also presented workshops on rope skipping in Canada, the USA, Europe and Asia.
Susan’s M.Ed. thesis focused on self esteem and physical education in the elementary school (grades K-8) age population. Her experience and education has been invaluable in her role as a co-developer of the Girl Power! and Fit Kids programs for the wayfit team that emphasize a fun peer-based approach to encourage improved youth fitness.
Most recently, Susan has been the lead developer for the Jump2BFit® Program that has been created in partnership with the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD).
