Rope Skipping for Group Exercise and Personal Training Level 1
(2 CanFitPro CECs)

Join International Presenters Susan Kalbfleisch and Liz Way as they show you how to bring your clients something new for their workout – rope skipping.

Whether you are a personal trainer or teach group exercise, this half day workshop will bring you fresh new ideas that are easy to incorporate into your programming.

Going beyond the basic jump that is part of many boxercise classes, Level 1 will start with the biomechanics of safe rope skipping, progressing to basic training and group exercise choreography that you can use right away.

Rope skipping is an activity that will challenge even advanced exercisers.

In a group class format, the program can be applied to all skill levels with a combination skipping/hi/lo approach.

Personal trainers can mix up client workouts with a new approach to cardiovascular activity that will leave clients wanting more!

And, sports conditioning specialists can apply the knowledge in this course to sport specific training situations to increase power, agility, endurance and strength.

Fitness enthusiasts can also benefit from material covered in this workshop.

This four hour workshop combining theory and practical application will cover:

  • Biomechanics of skipping
  • Safety considerations

  • Breakdown of two foot, one foot, arm action, locomotive and combination skills
